Model, a design professional and actress Ayesha Kanga, who is currently basking in the success of her last show 바카라˜Class바카라™ on Netflix, recently talked about how things have changed post show's success, her future aspirations and the second season of 바카라˜Class바카라™. In the show, she was seen playing Yashika, the spoiled rich girl, who runs out of money and manipulates her way through life.
Talking about how things have changed post 바카라˜Class바카라™, Ayesha said, "Post 바카라˜Class바카라™, things have changed massively, my life has taken a full 180 degree turn. I have so much access to things that I idealised earlier. There were institutions and people who I admired and wanted to work with and are now getting in touch. Also, there's a lot more work and I now understand how people often burn out in this field. I'm really tired but these are exciting times. They바카라™re all good problems and I'm taking each day as it comes. There are many things on the table currently both creatively as well as in fashion and acting. So many things have come to me right after Class's success that I'm hands down with work. Everything I was working towards has suddenly manifested after the show which is wonderful. So right now I want to go all out and not hold back."
Revealing about 바카라˜Class바카라™ season 2, she informed, "I'm not allowed to talk about it but I do know that they are in the writing process and they'll be looking for the new cast members very soon. I have no idea when they바카라™ll start shooting but I'm super excited to see how it goes for Yashika in season 2. Season 2 is all about her so I'm ready for people to see more sides of her."
Sharing about what inspired her to become an actor, she revealed, "I watched a series called 바카라˜Made in Heaven바카라™ and immediately wanted to become an actor. I felt like there would be space for people like me on screen. I never wanted to be an actor before that, I always pushed it under the carpet. Though I wanted to become a model, a graphic designer, artist and creative director; acting was never really on the cards. Also, watching really good content always makes me want to act. I watched 바카라˜Requiem for a Dream바카라™ by Darren Aronofsky and it's beautiful. I want to be a part of projects like that; hard hitting and the ones that challenge you as an actor."
Recalling her favourite scene from the show, she mentioned, "A scene that I really enjoyed was when Yashika gets yelled at by her boyfriend and she starts crying. Then she's looking in the mirror and hurriedly puts her makeup on and starts taking selfies while crying. That scene received a lot of praise and went viral. I enjoyed that scene the most and was never written into the original screenplay. The director and I made it up on the spot and filmed it. I want to be a part of content that moves people."Â
Speaking about her future aspirations, she signed off by saying, "I'm looking forward to doing something different from my personality. Yashika from Class was a stark contrast from my personality so it was really fun to play her. In the future, I would just love to play with different kinds of people and want to empathise with as many people as there are in the world. I think the best empathy exercise is acting. I have a huge list of directors I want to work with which includes Zoya Akhtar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Mira Nair, Luca Giordano, Wes Anderson, Darren Aronofsky, Quentin Tarantino. I would also love to work with actors like Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, Rajkumar Rao, Alia Bhatt, Jessica Chastain and many more."
