The actress got candid about her character Kunti and her working experience on 'Kathal.
Actress Neha Saraf, best known for her work in 바카라˜Dream Girl바카라™, 바카라˜Lukka Chupi바카라™, 바카라˜Kushti바카라™, 바카라˜Gudiya Ki Shadi바카라™ and others, is currently featuring in Netflix's 바카라˜Kathal바카라™, starring alongside Saniya Malhotra, Rajpal Yadav and Vijay Raaz.
The actress gets candid about her character Kunti and her working experience in the show. Neha said, "I'm playing the character of Kunti who is a cop in the show. This character you can say is a representation of those women in our country who manage both work and house without any complaint. I feel grateful that I got the opportunity to play such a strong character. While I was shooting for the film 바카라˜Janhit Mein Jaari바카라™, I got a call from Casting Bay to test for this role in the film. And then when I received the script and read the first page, I was intrigued by the name Kathal. Also, when I saw Ashok Mishra ji is the writer of this film who is my senior, so I knew it's going to be something interesting because he is a fabulous writer. That's what prompted me to be a part of this film."
Sharing about how she prepared for the role, she stated, "In films, mostly police characters are celebrated but I wanted to make it more relatable to real life without being caricaturish. I didn바카라™t want to act a certain way and make it look like a stereotypical police officer. So making it more realistic was quite a challenge for me."
She further mentioned, "Director Yashowardhan was very clear with his vision towards this film. Similarly, he was very clear of what he wanted from my character Kunti. He kept briefing me and gave a picture about Kunti's character arc. He's someone with focused and clear vision."
Describing her working experience with co actors, Neha shared, "Sanya is lovely and adorable. When I met her for the first time, she hugged me as if we had known each other for a long time. She is very warm and working with her was so easy and comfortable. She has a very good quality of always open to learning and at the same time got to learn many things from her. I have also given her the nickname 'Pyaari Ladki'. Also, it was a phenomenal experience working with Rajpal Yadav and Vijay Raaz. This is my third time with Vijay after Dream Girl and Janhit Mein Jari. The atmosphere is so much fun and lively when he is on set. I feel very happy working with him every time. Also, it was my second time with Rajpal Da and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was such a learning experience working with such actors as there's so much to imbibe from their experiences. Also, working with other co actors was beautiful.Â
Talking about the USP of the film, she signed off by saying, "The USP of this film is that it's a family watch film which tells its story with simplicity. It's a light hearted slice of life film which everyone can enjoy I feel."
