The psychological, suspense thriller revolves around three protagonists and the story begins when a mysterious man, Mr Bansal invites Mrinalini, a famous journalist over to his flat on the pretext of offering her a scoop. Then, Om, a cop arrives and it becomes increasingly clear that there is a thread that connects the pasts of these three characters. The plot continues to unravel and culminates in a shocking twist that takes everyone by surprise. The teleplay stars Gajraj Rao (Bansal), Shweta Basu Prasad (Mrinalini) and Sumeet Vyas (Om).
This play with large helpings of irony and humour lays bare the dilemmas and conflicts of urban existence. 'The Job' is a comic take on a toxic, power-driven hierarchical corporate space where boundaries are not respected and employees experience excessive stress. The play makes a statement about how unhealthy workspaces can be via an introductory choreographed musical sequence, sharp writing and nuanced performances. The story begins when a young, naive candidate turns up for a job interview only to be shocked by the unusual tenor of the question-and-answer session. The play stars Karan Pandit, Kashin Shetty, Tariq Vasudeva and Shweta Tripathi.
