Actor Cillian Murphy, who is finishing up his 바카라Oppenheimer바카라 press tour ahead of the Oscars, has said that junkets and red-carpet interviews to promote a film are outdated.
The actor is up for an Academy Award in the Best Actor category for his role as the titled character in the Christopher Nolan film.
Murphy told GQ: 바카라I think it바카라s a broken model바카라 The model is바카라everybody is so bored.바카라
The actor said the silver lining of the SAG-AFTRA strike was that the press tours stopped, and Oppenheimer and Barbie were able to pull wins at the box office despite the lack of promotion.
바카라Same was the case with Peaky Blinders,바카라 he added.
바카라The first three seasons there was no advertising, a tiny show on BBC Two; it just caught fire because people talked to each other about it.바카라
Murphy quoted Joanne Woodward who said: 바카라Acting is like sex바카라do it, don바카라t talk about it.바카라
바카라People always used to say to me, 바카라He has reservations바카라 or 바카라He바카라s a difficult interviewee.바카라 Not really,바카라 he added. 바카라I love talking about work, about art. What I struggle with, and find unnecessary, and unhelpful about what I want to do, is: 바카라Tell me about yourself바카라'바카라
Murphy also talked about how he doesn바카라t watch his own films, particularly 바카라the ones I hear are not good.바카라
One movie he recalled that is not among his favorites is Wes Craven바카라s 2005 thriller Red Eye.
바카라I love Rachel McAdams and we had fun making it,바카라 Murphy said. 바카라But I don바카라t think it바카라s a good movie. It바카라s a good B movie.바카라
