Housefull 5 box office collection in India

On Day 3, Housefull 5 earned Rs 32 crore (rough data) across all languages in India, taking the total box office collections to Rs 87 crore. It will easily cross the Rs 100 crore club in two days. On Sunday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 39.52%.

Evening shows recorded highest occupancy of 54.77%, while morning shows had the lowest footfall of 17.72%. Afternoon shows and night shows recorded 48.80% and 36.78% respectively.

Housefull 5 surpassed the opening day collection of Akshay this year's release, Kesari Chapter 2, by earning Rs 24 crore on the first day of its release. The opening collection is Akshay's fourth-biggest after his previous films, Mission Mangal (Rs 29.16 crore), Sooryavanshi (Rs 26.29 crore), and Gold (Rs 25.25 crore).

Housefull 5 has two different endings. Sajid Nadiadwala in a statement shared that he had been thinking about the story of Housefull 5 with two different climaxes for the last 30 years. "I've always wanted to make a thriller, and the idea finally came to me 3-4 years ago, right after I finished writing Housefull 4. I wrote the story and screenplay myself, and it's truly a dream come true. What makes this film unique is that different shows will have all together different killers and climax. Imagine a 3 PM show having one ending, and the 6 PM show having another- this is happening across single screens and multiplexes," he said.

It has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Soundarya Sharma, and Ranjeet.
