There have been rumours of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali collaborating with Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil. The Amar Singh Chamkila director finally confirmed his next with Fahadh in a directors' roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter India. He also revealed the film바카라™s title.

During the interview, when Imtiaz was asked about the film, he said, 바카라śThis announcement is out, but it바카라™s like a little ahead of its time. There is a movie, but I don바카라™t know, it might not be the next one up. But, yes, I바카라™ve been trying to make this film for a long time. It바카라™s called The Idiot of Istanbul.바카라ť
When he was further asked if Fahadh would play the lead, Ali said, 바카라śI would like it바카라¦yeah. I would love to do this. And now, since you바카라™ve cornered me, I don바카라™t know why I바카라™m not supposed to say this. But yes, my plan is to make this film with Fahadh.바카라ť
Fahadh Faasil is already a big name in the Malayalam film industry. He has also forayed into Tamil and Telugu films as well. The Idiot of Istanbul will mark Fahadh바카라™s debut in Hindi.
Reportedly, the film will also star Triptii Dimri alongside Fahadh. It is said to start shooting in the first quarter of 2025.
Fahadh was recently seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule, co-starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. Prior to that, he was seen in Aavesham, Bougainvillea and Vettaiyan. His upcoming lineup of projects include Don't Trouble the Trouble and Oxygen in Telugu, and Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, and Karate Chandran in Malayalam.
