Production is expected to begin imminently in New Zealand. 바카라˜Napoleon Dynamite바카라™ filmmaker Jared Hess, who previously worked with Black on the 2006 comedy 바카라˜Nacho Libre바카라™, is directing the project, reports Variety.
Warner Bros. and Legendary are backing 바카라˜Minecraft바카라™, which is slated to open in theatres on April 4, 2025. It바카라™s unclear what the 바카라˜Minecraft바카라™ movie will be about, or who is writing the screenplay.
As per Variety, a film version of the game has been in the works for years, with Shawn Levy, Rob McElhenney and Peter Sollett all at one point in talks to direct.

The sandbox-style game allows players to use colourful blocks to create 3D worlds. It has also spawned numerous spinoffs, like 바카라˜Minecraft: Story Mode바카라™, 바카라˜Minecraft Earth바카라™, 바카라˜Minecraft Dungeons바카라™ and 바카라˜Minecraft Legends바카라™.
Mojang Studios, the Swedish developer behind the game, was acquired by Microsoft in 2014 and will serve as a producer on the movie adaptation. Black has seemingly become Hollywood바카라™s choice actor for game-to-screen stories, having starred in 바카라˜The Super Mario Bros. Movie바카라™, 바카라˜Jumanji: The Next Level바카라™ and Lionsgate바카라™s upcoming 바카라˜Borderlands바카라™. Up next, he바카라™s reprising his voice role as Po in Universal and DreamWorks Animation바카라™s comedy 바카라˜Kung Fu Panda 4바카라™, which lands on the big screen on March 8.
