In the podcast, Karan said, ''She was also Headgirl. In 10th standard, every boy was crushing on a girl. So I thought I should also join this bandwagon and start crushing on her. So I gave her a card, no rose, on Rose Day, not Valentine's Day. She took my card and then called me. And maybe, she was my first reality check. She said, 'You didn't want to give me this card, do you?' I said, 바카라˜No I think you are really nice and I like you.바카라™ She said, 바카라˜Ya, but like you don바카라™t want to give me this card or rose?' And I thought it was rather evolved of her because I really didn't. So obviously, I've exchanged (Valentine's Day) gifts, but for all the wrong reasons, to be 바카라˜cool'''.
Earlier, in his memoir, 'An Unsuitable Boy', Karan had admitted that the first and the last girl he had a crush on was his childhood friend, actor, and author Twinkle Khanna.
On the work front, Karan Johar made his debut as director this year with 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.
