Aamir Khan is gearing up for his big screen release, Sitaare Zameen Par. He is currently on a promotional spree. The actor recently appeared on Raj Shamani's podcast, where he revealed about his dream project, Mahabharat, and hinted that it might be his last film. Aamir is planning to start working on his upcoming project, after the release of Sitaare Zameen Par.

When Aamir Khan was asked about the theme of his last film, he said, "It바카라™s my dream to make Mahabharat, and I will start working on it after the release of Sitaare Zameen Par on June 20. I feel like that바카라™s one project which, once I바카라™ve done it, might leave me with the feeling that there바카라™s nothing more I can do after that." He called it's "layered, emotional, vast in scale, and full of grandeur" and "everything that exists in the world can be found in Mahabharat."

"Well, I hope I die with my shoes on. Like AK Hangal ji used to say, 바카라˜I want to die while working바카라™바카라”that바카라™s what all of us wish for. Lekin agar aap puch rahe hai toh main ek hi cheez jo main soch sakta hun toh voh yeh hai ki shayad Mahabharat karne ke baad mere andar voh emotion aaye ki bus iske baad mujhe kuch nahi karna hai. Shayad, I don't know" (But if you're asking, then the only thing I can think of is that maybe after doing Mahabharat, I feel an emotion that I don바카라™t want to do anything beyond that. Maybe, I don바카라™t know," he added.

Earlier, while talking about Mahabharat, Aamir told The Hollywood Reporter India, that developing the script would take years.

Aamir also said that he바카라™s not sure if he will star in the film. 바카라œWe바카라™ll see who we should cast based on who바카라™s appropriate for which part," he said.

"I don바카라™t think you can tell the Mahabharat in one film, so it will be multiple films. I am looking at the large scale," he added.

He further said, "If we do it one after the other, it will take very long. Like they did with Lord of the Rings, where they shot all three parts together. (We'll do) something like that?"

Coming back to Sitaare Zameen Par, it is a spiritual sequel to Aamir's 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. The film also stars Genelia D'Souza and ten other debutant actors. It has been directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. It is all set to hit the screens on June 20, 2025.
