Kuberaa Trailer: Dhanush Plays A Beggar Who Throws A Whole Government Into Risk

Ahead of its release, the trailer for Kuberaa, was unveiled by the makers on June 15, at a pre-release event in Hyderabad. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli was the chief guest at the event. Dhanush and Nagarjuna starrer is a battle between power, money and ethics. The film marks Dhanush's Telugu debut. The Sekhar Kammula-directorial will hit theatres on June 20, 2025.

The almost 3-minute trailer starts with Dhanush, who plays a beggar, trying to understand the value of crores. He then meets Nagarjuna who plays a powerful man with a grey shade. He says that in this country, only money and power work, not ethics or justice. He also helps Dhanush to get rid of poverty. Rashmika's character who seems to play Dhanush's confidante, also believes that only rich and powerful will rule the world. With Nagarjuna's help, Dhanush starts to revolt against the corrupt politicians and businessmen, including Jim Sarbh. Nagarjuna바카라™s character also tries to chase him down with an intention to kill.

There is a line in the trailer, "How did a beggar put a whole government at risk?" and it would be interesting to see how Dhanush does that.

Kuberaa is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao of Amigos Creations and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. Music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad and Niketh Bommireddy has done the cinematography.

The film also stars Sayaji Shinde, Divya Dekate, Dalip Tahil, and Hareesh Peradi, among others.

Following the tragic Air India Ahmedabad plane crash, the makers of postponed the film's pre-release event which was initially scheduled to be held on June 13. The decision was taken as a mark of respect for the victims and to show solidarity to the their families in this difficult time.

On Thursday, the makers released a statement that read: "The pre-release event of Kuberaa, scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed in light of the tragic Ahmedabad flight crash. We stand in solidarity with the grieving families (sic)."
