Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood actor, was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. His death is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which earlier ruled out possibilities of murder. While his death has been ruled as a suicide, new claims of the actor being murdered emerged last month. However, no closure report in the death case has been filed by the agency so far.

Besides the CBI investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau also looked into the financial and drugs-related angles in the matter. His girlfriend and actor Rhea Chakraborty was booked for abetment to suicide. She was later granted bail after 28 days in jail.
