Actor Naseeruddin Shah often grabs the headlines for his controversial statements. He has always been loud and clear about his opinions and never minces his words. Earlier, in an interview, Shah claimed that he uses Filmfare Awards as door handles in the washroom of his farmhouse.

Naseeruddin Shah won three Filmfare Awards for Aakrosh (1981), Chakra (1982), and Masoom (1983).

In an interview with Lallantop, Naseeruddin Shah said that any actor who has "put their life and effort into portraying a role is a good actor". He questioned if it is fair to "just pick one person from the lot and say that 바카라˜this is the best actor of the year바카라™."

The actor further said he is not proud of those awards. "I did not even go collect the last two awards I received. So, when I built a farmhouse I decided to put these awards there. Whoever goes to the washroom will get two awards each as the handles are made of the Filmfare awards," he said.

The National award-winning actor also said that he doesn't find any value in these awards. He revealed he was happy when he received the initial ones and then they started piling up around him. He later understood that these trophies are a "result of lobbying."

"One is receiving these awards not necessarily because of their merit," Shah said. So, he started leaving them behind.

Naseeruddin had different opinion on the civilian honors. "After that, when I received Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, it reminded me of my deceased father who used to always be worried about my job and said things like 바카라˜if you do this useless work, you will become a fool바카라™. So, when I went to Rashtrapati Bhavan to collect the awards, I looked up and asked my dad if he was seeing all this... He was... and I am sure he was happy... I was happy to receive those awards. But I can바카라™t stand these competitive awards," he said.
