Kawasaki바카라™s latest iteration of the Ninja ZX-10R claims to make a lot more power than before at an err바카라¦ relatively affordable price tag! Tempted? Closest you can get to owning a WSBK championship-winning bike

No, we weren바카라™t kidding. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is actually the closest you can get to owning a superbike that has won multiple championships. In recent years, the Japanese bikemaker has enjoyed quite a bit of success in the WSBK circuit thanks to Jonathan Rea and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR.

Considering racetracks are the breeding ground for new developments in automobiles, the company has managed to trickle down some of its learnings from the racetrack into its mass-production road-going bikes. The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a prime example of this. Here바카라™s why.

It makes an absolutely mental amount of power

On paper, the ZX-10R바카라™s 998cc inline-four engine makes 203PS of power at 13,500rpm and 114.9Nm of torque at 11,200rpm. This is up by 3PS and 1.4Nm from the previous-gen model.
For some reason, if that isn바카라™t enough, the power figure can be boosted to 213PS with ram air intake.

The biggest addition here comes in the form of the new finger-follower valve actuation. Kawasaki says it has been designed by the company바카라™s World Superbike engineers and makes for a lighter setup. To accommodate this amount of power, the Ninja gets a revised 6-speed constant mesh gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. Oh, and in case you forget how powerful this engine is, it gets a red-painted cylinder head cover. For fun sakes!

And comes loaded with features

There바카라™s a ton of electronic aids to be found on the Ninja ZX-10R. This includes multiple riding modes (3 in total), traction control, launch control, cornering management function, Kawasaki바카라™s intelligent anti-lock brake system and more. Additionally, it also gets Kawasaki바카라™s self-healing paint technology, first seen on the company바카라™s H2 range. While you바카라™ll find most of these features and more on its competitors, there바카라™s a big reason the Ninja gets an edge바카라¦

It바카라™s the cheapest superbike you can buy!

And that바카라™s because of its price tag. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was already the most affordable litre-class sportsbike in India. Thanks to a price cut of Rs 31,000, it is now even cheaper than before. This was done by bringing the Ninja as a CKD (Completely Knocked-down) unit, compared to the earlier CBU route. Kawasaki claims they바카라™ve managed to do this without increasing the localisation percentage. But before you sign the dotted line, you should know that Kawasaki India sells the ZX-10R as a single-seater only.

It makes more power than most of its rivals

Here바카라™s a fun fact: the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R makes more power than its immediate rivals - the Honda CBR1000RR (191PS), the Suzuki GSX-R1000R (202PS), the 2019 BMW S1000RR (198.5PS) and the Yamaha R1 (200PS). While being more 바카라˜affordable바카라™ than all of them. For comparison, the Honda CBR1000RR costs Rs 16.41 lakh, while the Suzuki GSX-R1000R, BMW S1000RR and the Yamaha R1 are priced at Rs 19.81 lakh, 18.05 lakh and 20.39 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom India).

Only the Ducati Panigale V4 (214PS) and the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory (217PS) make more power. But you do have to shell out an extra Rs 10 lakh or more for them.
