Most Powerful Skoda Kodiaq Ever Teased Ahead Of October Debut

Officially announced in June 2018, Skoda has finally revealed that its anticipated Kodiaq RS will be unveiled this October. The Czech automaker바카라™s debutant full-size SUV, the Kodiaq, will soon become the brand바카라™s first-ever SUV to be part of its performance-oriented vRS family. The Skoda Kodiaq RS will join the Octavia RS, which was the first 바카라˜vRS바카라™ series production model (debuted in 2000). 

Aside from the Kodiaq RS, Skoda has also unveiled the new logo design of the 바카라˜vRS바카라™ badge. Instead of the green colour found on the Octavia RS, the Kodiaq바카라™s new logo features a shade of red.  Skoda highlighted that the new red colour symbolises 바카라˜how sporty and virile바카라™ the RS family is. The new 바카라˜vRS바카라™ logo will also be used by Kodiaq바카라™s other RS siblings.

Unlike the Octavia RS, the Kodiaq RS will be offered with a diesel engine, at least for now. The engine in question is the most powerful twin-turbocharged version of Volkswagen Group바카라™s staple 2.0-litre diesel. The 2.0-litre BiTDI in the Kodiaq RS puts out a healthy 239PS of max power and a whopping 500Nm of peak torque. Skoda says that this is the most powerful diesel in the brand바카라™s history. 

Skoda is yet to confirm whether the Kodiaq RS is meant for the Indian market or not. The fact that the carmaker already sells the RS version of the Octavia in India, and has only one variant of the Kodiaq on offer - that too powered by a rather humble 150PS diesel engine - raises our hope of getting the go-fast SUV. The Kodiaq is priced at Rs 34.83 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The Kodiaq RS, if launched with a premium of less than Rs 3-4 lakh over the standard model, would be among the most powerful cars in the sub-40 lakh price bracket.
