3. Enter a valid mobile number and email ID, then click continue

4. Enter the OTPs sent to both phone and email for verification

7. Enter academic information, contact details, and other required fields

8. Upload documents in the specified format

9. Preview your form, verify all fields, and then tick the confirmation checkboxes

10. Submit the form and download it for future reference

Once registered, candidates can access their profile page to add preferred courses. They can update details until their application shows 100% completion. Limited changes may also be allowed later through the profile section.

Which Colleges Are Excluded from the WBCAP System?

Although the West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal (WBCAP) covers a wide network of government and government-aided institutions, certain colleges and universities are excluded from this system. These include prestigious institutions like Presidency University and Jadavpur University, which conduct their own independent admission processes. Additionally, autonomous colleges, minority educational institutions, and training colleges are also outside the purview of WBCAP.

Furthermore, the centralised portal does not apply to law colleges and universities, as well as institutions offering specialised programmes in fine arts, performing arts, crafts, dance, and music. Courses related to engineering, pharmacy, nursing, and medical sciences are also not covered under this centralised structure. Lastly, self-financing and private colleges operate their admissions independently and must be approached separately by applicants.
