Punjab Police personnel deployed in the security of Arvind Kejriwal, national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have been withdrawn, as confirmed by Punjab바카라s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav.
Punjab바카라s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav said that while the Punjab Police regularly shares reports on security threats to both Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal, the recent withdrawal of security was in line with directions from Delhi authorities.
Punjab Police personnel deployed in the security of Arvind Kejriwal, national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have been withdrawn, as confirmed by Punjab바카라s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav.
The decision follows the directions of Delhi police and the Election Commission ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
Yadav clarified that while the Punjab Police regularly shares reports on security threats to both Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal, the recent withdrawal of security was in line with directions from Delhi authorities
바카라Following the directions of the Delhi Police and the Election Commission today, we withdrew the component of the Punjab Police in the security of Kejriwal ji,바카라 Yadav said in a statement to the press on Thursday.
He also reassured that despite the change in security personnel, the Punjab Police will remain in contact with the Delhi Police and continue to share any relevant information regarding potential threats.
The timing of the move, two weeks before Delhi assembly polls, is raising questions, particularly as both Kejriwal and Mann, who have been at the forefront of the AAP바카라s election campaign, are seen as key figures in the electoral contest.

Arvind Kejriwal levelled serious allegations against the Delhi Police, accusing them of allowing an attack on his car by opposition party workers at the behest of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Kejriwal, speaking at a public meeting in Hari Nagar, claimed that the police had permitted men affiliated with opposition candidates to disrupt his campaign and attack his vehicle.

While there has been no immediate response from the BJP or Delhi Police regarding Kejriwal바카라s accusations, tensions between AAP and BJP have been escalating ahead of the February polls. Both parties have exchanged multiple allegations of interference and violence during the election campaign, with each accusing the other of using unfair tactics.
