'Fauda' Actor Idan Amedi Gets Injured In Gaza Battle Shortly After TV Interview; Out Of Danger

Star singer and 바카라œFauda바카라 actor Idan Amedi was seriously injured while fighting as an Israel Defense Forces reservist in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, reports said, adding that he on Monday was airlifted to a hospital where he was sedated and is under treatment.

Idan Amedi바카라™s father confirmed the injury and said that his son was out of danger, Israeli news portal Walla News reported. The actor바카라™s cousin Ayelet posted an update on Instagram and asked the public to pray for his recovery.

Idan Amedi, who is known for his character in the popular TV show 'Fauda' of a soldier in an elite IDF unit that operates in Palestinian areas of the West Bank and on the Gaza Strip, has been serving as a real-life IDF reservist in the Combat Engineering Corps.

He was brought to Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan at about 4 pm on Monday and underwent urgent, serious and lengthy surgery, a report in the Times Of Israel cited Hebrew media.

On being asked about the tunnels his unit was working to uncover, Amedi said "it바카라™s crazy, what they [Hamas] built here.바카라Â Amedi said that the Israeli forces found kilometres of tunnels there and even special weaponry. "We바카라™ve been busy the past two days trying to destroy it,바카라 The Times Of Israel report quoted him as saying in the Channel 12 interview.

Just days after the October 7 Hamas massacre, Israel drafted a record 3,00,000 nationals for reserve duty as it went on the 바카라œoffensive바카라 in response to a multi-front attack by the Palestinian militant group.

On October 12, amid a call-up of the reservists, Amedi posted a video on X, showing him wearing military fatigues and saying: 바카라œThis isn바카라™t a scene from Fauda, it바카라™s real life.바카라

The 35-year-old actor-singer was born and raised in Jerusalem, to Kurdish immigrants. Apart from his 'Fauda' character, he is also known for his songs, with one of his most popular numbers being a song titled 바카라œWarrior바카라™s Pain,바카라 which describes the post-traumatic experience of a soldier coming back from war. Amedi undertook his mandatory military service in the IDF Combat Engineering Corps바카라™ 603rd Battalion from 2006 to 2009, the report mentioned.

Amedi is married and has two children.

Fauda's official X handle also posted over Amedi being injured in Gaza. "We would like to share with everyone that Idan has been injured in action in Gaza. Idan is one of the kindest, warmest, and most passionate people, loved by all of us. His love of music is a very special part of our set. Together let us pray for his full and speedy recovery," the post read.
