After Israel launched its offensive against Iran's nuclear and military infrastructure on Friday, Iran retaliated by firing scores of ballistic missiles targeting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The Israeli airstrike in Tehran reportedly killed sixty people, including twenty children.

Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir said that Israel launched the military offensive against Iran's nuclear programme "because the time had come; we'd reached the point of no return".

"History, both distant and recent, has taught us that in the face of ambitions to destroy us, we must not bow our heads, and so we fight to preserve our existence. Freedom is granted to those who are willing to fight for it," he said in remarks published by the IDF.

Israel also declared a state of emergency in anticipation of a missile and drone attack by Iran, before they responded with a barrage of ballistic missiles, triggering sirens and air alerts, especially in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has released a statement asserting, 바카라�We will not allow them to escape safely from this great crime they committed.'

Trump Says, 바카라�We Knew Everything바카라�: United States President Donald Trump on Friday claimed to know that the attacks carried out by Israel on Iran were coming, reported Reuters. He gave the statement during a phone interview with Reuters, stating, "We knew everything, and I tried to save Iran from humiliation and death. I tried to save them very hard because I would have loved to have seen a deal worked out.바카라�

"They can still work out a deal, however, it바카라�s not too late," he added. The statement comes after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio defined the attacks as 바카라�unilateral바카라�. After Israeli strikes, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman has called the nuclear talks with the US 'meaningless', reported AP.

Nuclear talks cancelled: Amid the ongoing tension in West Asia, the next round of US-Iran nuclear talks set for Sunday has been called off, mediator Oman's foreign minister Badr Albusaidi said, as per BBC.

"The Iran-US talks scheduled to be held in Muscat this Sunday will not now take place," he wrote on X, adding, "But diplomacy and dialogue remain the only pathway to lasting peace."

More Targets To Be Hit In Tehran, Says IDF:  Amid the ongoing escalation, the IDF has said that the Israeli air force is ready to resume striking targets in Iran.

As per the BBC, IDF Chief of Staff Lt Gen Eyal Zamir and Israeli Air Force Chief Maj Gen Tomer Bar gave a joint situational assessment. They say "the way to Iran has been paved".
