A week after billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk acquired Twitter, employee layoffs at the social media company are expected to get underway on Friday and about half of Twitter바카라s 7,500 workers appeared set to lose their jobs, according to a media report.
The New York Times, citing a company-wide email, reported that Musk will 바카라begin laying off Twitter employees on Friday바카라, exactly a week after he completed the USD 44 billion acquisition of the social media company and ousted CEO Parag Agrawal, legal executive Vijaya Gadde, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and General Counsel Sean Edgett.
The NYT report added that 바카라Twitter employees were notified in the email that the layoffs were set to begin바카라 and 바카라workers were instructed to go home and not return to the offices on Friday as the cuts proceeded.바카라

The report added that employees took note of a Slack message that suggested 바카라3,738 people바카라 could be laid off and that changes could still be made to the list.
While it is not yet clear what the exact number of layoffs will be, it is estimated that 바카라about half of Twitter바카라s workers appeared set to lose their jobs.바카라
Rumours of layoffs at Twitter have been doing the rounds for some time and following Musk바카라s acquisition, managers at Twitter were asked to 바카라draw up lists of high- and low-performing employees, likely with an eye toward job cuts바카라, the NYT report said.
Ahead of the impending layoffs, some employees circulated a 바카라Layoff Guide바카라 with tips on corporate surveillance and employment rights, the NYT report said. One worker, who had created software to help colleagues download important emails and documents, was later fired.
The repot added that under the terms of his deal to acquirer Twitter, Musk agreed to keep employee compensation and benefits the same for one year. 바카라Twitter workers are typically paid at least two months바카라 salary and the cash value of equity they were scheduled to receive within three months of a layoff date,바카라 the NYT report said.

According to a New York Post report,  Mr Musk has asked workers to "literally work 24/7 to meet the deadlines for an overhaul of Twitter's user verification process."
