Girl Found Dead Inside Suitcase In Delhi, Family Stages Protest

The police are working to identify and apprehend the perpetrator with additional personnel being deployed in the area to maintain law and order.

A nine-year-old girl was found dead with her body stuffed in a suitcase at a neighbour바카라s house in Northeast Delhi바카라s Nehru Vihar area on Saturday, reported PTI. The incident has sparked protests by family members and locals who have alleged this to be a case of sexual assault and murder.

According to police sources cited by PTI, the perpetrator appears to have fled the scene after stuffing her body in a suitcase. All angles are being probed in the matter, including sexual assault. "We are awaiting the autopsy report to confirm the cause of death. Teams have been formed to nab the absconding accused. We are taking this matter with utmost seriousness,바카라 a police officer told PTI.

How did it happen?

The girl had left her home at around 7 PM to give ice to a relative residing nearby, PTI reported citing family sources. When she did not return home for a long time, her father commenced his search asking several relatives and neighbours about her whereabouts.

Her father gave a statement to PTI stating, "She had only gone to deliver some ice to our relatives. They said she stayed for five minutes and left. But she never came back. We looked everywhere. Finally, someone told us she was seen entering a house nearby. That's where we found her in a suitcase."

The girl바카라s father found the apartment to be locked. He broke the lock to enter the house where he found her stuffed in a suitcase. She was immediately rushed to a hospital.

What did the police say?

"Prima facie, doctors observed visible injuries on her face and have indicated possible sexual assault," a senior police officer told PTI. A case has been registered at the Dayalpur police station with "multiple teams have been deployed to collect clues and trace the accused. The investigation is being done on priority," the officer added.
