Meet Gurpreet Kaur, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's Newly-wed Wife

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tied nuptial knot for the second time in his life on Thursday. While the regular 'band, bajaa, baraat' were missing, festivities seemed intact as the comedian-turned CM turned groom for his wedding with a doctor from Kurukshetra at his home on Thursday.

Viral visuals on television and Twitter showed Mann and his bride at the Anand Karaj ceremony, looking happy and festive. The wedding was attended by Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. Colleague Raghav Chadha also shared some images on Twitter showing Mann, in his yellow turban with 'kalgi' and a gold coloured kurta-pyjama while Kaur donned a red colored dress.

The former comedian, who rose through the ranks to become Punjab바카라™s CM had separated from his first wife in 2015 with whom he has two children바카라” daughter Seerat Kaur Mann (21) and son Dilshan Mann (17).

Mann바카라™s first wife Inderpreet Kaur now lives abroad. 

It was AAP바카라™s Punjab unit chief Malvinder Singh Kang, who announced about Mann바카라™s marriage on Thursday with Dr Gurpreet Kaur.

Mann's new bride Gurpreet Kaur was born in 1993 and from Pehowa in Haryana's Kurukshetra.  Kaur completed her MBBS from Maharishi Markandeshwar University at Mullana (district Ambala) in Haryana in 2018.

There have been reports that Kaur had been frequently spotted at Mann바카라™s residence. However, many reports say that marriage is an arranged affair and that it was Mann's mother and sister who paired the duo.

Kaur reportedly first came in contact with 48-year-old Mann's family one-and-a-half years ago. According to reports, Kaur바카라™s family didn바카라™t want her to enter politics. However, with with her wedding to the AAP leader and Punjab CM, doors to politics may soon open up.

Kaur is also said to be fond of Mann바카라™s stand-up comedy. Following the wedding, Kaur, 30, shared a picture of herself on Twitter and wrote, "Din Shagna Da Chadya  (the day of marriage has arrived)".

Only family members, including Mann's mother, sister, relatives, and a few guests attended the wedding. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chadha, AAP MP Sanjay Singh and few other leaders were also present at the ceremony.
