India Restricts Pakistan Goods Imported Via Third Counties: Reports

India has commenced restricting goods from Pakistan that are entering into the country through third countries like UAE, Iran and other gulf countries, as reported by The Indian Express. The reports have surfaced following the ban on import of all goods from Pakistan that was imposed on May 2 in light of the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22 where 26 individuals lost their lives. 

According to officials, concerns have been registered with the UAE government stating that Pakistani dates and dry fruits have been entering India through the Gulf nation. 바카라�The UAE has provided production figures, claiming that it also produces dates and dry fruits. But strict notifications serve as a deterrent, even encouraging other countries to avoid bending the norms,바카라� claimed the official, according to The Indian Express.  

The source has also highlighted that it is not always easy to identify Pakistani goods merely on the basis of the rules-of-origin certificate. However, a closer verification of the labelling gives a clear picture of the nature of the product바카라�s origin. 

The official also asserted that, 바카라�Customs are taking action whenever there is suspicion. At a few ports, the DRI has initiated action 바카라� for instance, a Pakistani-flagged ship was not allowed to dock. Traders have been reaching out to authorities, claiming trade losses. But a strong notification was necessary to ramp up scrutiny,바카라� as reported by The Indian Express. 

India shared cross-border trade with Pakistan amounting to Rs. 3,886 crore that was halted due to the closure of the Wagah-Attari border. According to estimates by the Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI), approximately $10 billion worth of Indian goods reach Pakistan through other shipment hub routes.
