Indo-Pak Tensions: Germany Backs India's Anti-Terrorism Stance, Says 'Country Has Every Right To Defend Itself'

Days after India launched its measured missile attack 'Operation Sindoor' targeting Pakistan's terror bases as a befitting response to April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, Germany came out in support of India saying the nation has a right to defend itself against terrorism.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul's remarks came at a joint press conference with External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar in Berlin on Friday where the former condemned the deadly Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians.

바카라�After military attacks on both sides, India, of course, has every right to defend itself against terrorism. The fact that the truce is now in place is something we appreciate very much," Wadephul said.

Moreover, the German minister also underscored the importance of maintaining the current understanding between India and Pakistan and called for a bilateral dialogue to resolve conflicts bilaterally.

What All Did Jaishankar Say?

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar on Friday said India has zero-tolerance for terrorism and New Delhi will 바카라�never give in to nuclear blackmail바카라�.

In his remarks at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul, the external affairs minister also said, 바카라�India will deal with Pakistan purely bilaterally바카라� and there should be 바카라�no confusion in any quarter바카라� in that regard.

The Union minister is currently in Germany as part of his three-nation Europe visit.

바카라�I came to Berlin in the immediate aftermath of India responding to the Pahalgam terror attack. Let me share with you what I conveyed to Mr Wadephul in that context. India has zero-tolerance for terrorism. India will never give in to nuclear blackmail,바카라� he said.
