In a significant announcement during a joint press conference with the Chhattisgarh Police, CRPF Director General Gyanendra Pratap Singh declared that the number of Naxal-affected districts in India has dropped dramatically바카라”from 126 to just 18. The development marks a major milestone in India바카라™s ongoing efforts to eliminate left-wing extremism in the heart of the conflict area.
Addressing the media in Bijapur, DG Singh outlined the government's target of making India completely Naxal-free by 2026. He highlighted a sharp decline in Naxal-related violence, stating that only 19 incidents were reported in 2025. Additionally, a total of 718 Naxalites surrendered to security forces over the past year.
The CRPF chief also revealed details of the largest anti-Naxal operation carried out to date, which took place in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. More than 150 underground bunkers used by Naxal insurgents were discovered and neutralized during the mission.
Singh emphasized that the campaign is not limited to combat operations but also involves disrupting the financial networks that support the insurgency. 바카라śA multi-pronged strategy is being implemented, targeting both the armed cadres and their funding sources,바카라ť he said.
