In the wake of escalating tensions following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Pakistani cyber groups have launched fresh offensives targeting Indian defence infrastructure, NDTV reported.
Preliminary assessments suggest that the attacks may have compromised sensitive information, including login credentials of defence personnel.
The breach is under urgent investigation, with cyber security teams working to determine the scale and impact of the intrusion.
A social media account operating under the name Pakistan Cyber Force has publicly claimed responsibility for the attacks. The group alleges it has accessed confidential data from the Military Engineer Services and the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses바카라”both critical to India바카라™s defence framework.
NDTV further said that the same group attempted to deface the official website of Armoured Vehicle Nigam Limited (AVNL), a Defence Ministry-affiliated public sector unit. In response, the AVNL website has been taken offline as a precautionary measure while a full-scale security audit is conducted to assess potential damage.
Diplomatic ties between India and Pakistan have plunged to a new low following the brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir바카라™s Pahalgam, where 26 tourists and a local resident were gunned down in cold blood. The Resistance Front, widely recognised as a proxy of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the massacre.
Preliminary investigations have reinforced suspicions of Pakistani involvement바카라”echoing patterns seen in past cross-border terror strikes. In response, India has vowed a strong and exemplary reaction.
New Delhi has already begun taking assertive diplomatic measures. These include the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, halting of visa services for Pakistani nationals, and a downgrade of bilateral engagements. The moves signal India바카라™s intent to hold Pakistan accountable on the global stage.
Meanwhile, high-level strategy meetings are underway in the capital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and top defence and intelligence officials have met repeatedly over the past few days, indicating that a significant response바카라”potentially beyond diplomacy바카라”is being considered.
