Born on January 3, 1831 in Naigaon, in the Bombay Presidency of the British era, Savitribai Phule was a teacher and a social reformer who made educating girls a mission of her life. As part of the Satya Shodhak Samaj, she worked hard for women바카라™s emancipation, then an unheard-of social issue. Along with her husband Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai was the pioneer of women바카라™s education in India. They started the first school for girls in 1848 in Bhidewada, Poona, at the residence of Tatyasaheb Bhide.
