The Bengaluru Police, acting on the directive of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, arrested key officials from Royal Challengers Bengaluru and event management company DNA Entertainment Network on Friday, 6 June. The arrests are in connection with the tragic stampede that took place during RCB바카라s victory parade outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, claiming the lives of 11 fans.

Karnataka CM Takes Punitive Steps After Bengaluru Stampede

The arrests came after the state government was put under immense pressure by the opposition and the families of the victims, with accusations of mismanagement being thrown at the event officials. 11 people, mostly teenagers, lost their lives and around 50 people were injured at the victory parade by RCB, following their maiden IPL title win on 3 June.

Several factors, including poor event management, a lack of enough crowd control measures, and overcrowding, led to the tragedy, resulting in one of the worst moments in India바카라s sporting history.

Following the incident, the Chief Minister issued a directive on Thursday, calling for the arrests of officials from RCB, DNA, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). Along with this, several police officials were suspended.

The investigation into the matter will be conducted by 바카라a one-man judicial commission, headed by retired high court judge of Karnataka Justice Michael D바카라Cunha바카라, a statement from the CM said.
