Earlier, Rangpur Riders had won the toss and opted to field against Fortune Barishal in Dhaka.
Khushdil Shah's 3/18 helped the Riders restrict the Fortune Barishal to a paltry 124 all out as the latter had a mini-collapse.
In reply, the Riders lost Md Azizul Hakim Tamim and Tawfique Khan early in the chase but it was Hassan and Alex Hales (41-ball 49) helped the Nurul Hassan-led side to a convincing victory.

Earlier, Durbar Rajshahi defeated Dhaka Capitals in match 5 of the BPL by seven wickets at the same stadium. There were two matches scheduled for Thursday in Dhaka.
Opting to bat first, Dhaka Capitals made 174/9 in 20 overs thanks to Shahadat Hossain Dipu's 50 off 41 balls and Stevie Eskinazi's 46 off 29 balls. Taskin Ahmed took seven wickets by conceding 19 runs in his four overs.
Ahmed was named Player of the Match for his brilliant outing with the ball. Captain Anamul Haque and Ryan Burl remained unbeaten to help their team chase down the 175-run target successfully with 11 balls to spare.
