Shubman Gill, who was looking well-set at the crease, is run-out by SRH as the hosts lose their second wicket. Gill, who was running back for the second, seems to have made hesitation in making back and a quick throw from Harshal Patel to Klaasen sees the back of Gill for 78.
Big five overs remain for GT and SRH. Jos Buttler is still at the crease and will be key for the home team to get towards a big score. SRH will need to bowl at their best after making a disastrous start despite winning the toss and opting to bowl.

Jos Buttler isn't there to pick up the pieces but the Englishman is roaring like a Lion out from the Gir forest. Buttler is approaching yet another half-century and the GT franchise will take some stopping in this innings.

Travis Head walks back after a superb catch by Rashid Khan as GT take the first wicket of their evening. Head, who was looking set on 20, hit up in the air but Khan dived to his right and took a brilliant outfield catch.
SRH's required run rate is over 12 now and despite the score at 63/1 in 7 overs, the visiting team need Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan to fire all cylinders. Need to up the ante at any cost.

Well, well, well it's Heinrich Klaasen who has now walked back to the dugout. Prasidh Krishna sends back the dangerous South African and probably that seals the deal for the hosts.
Kamindu Mendis and Aniket Verma were dismissed on consecutive deliveries by Mohammed Siraj as GT made inroads in the game. That's surely the game for the home team and SRH could well say goodbye to playoffs this season. What an abysmal season they've have in 2025!
SRH are well and truly out of the playoffs race with this defeat. The last year's runners-up, have been found out and despite some good performances here and there, the Hyderabad-based side have under-performed.
Couple of things. Our powerplay with the bat wasn't too great. I was as guilty as anyone else. Probably let them get 20-30 extra runs. May be hang on to one or two catches. Again am guilty there. Chasing 200 looked a bit more realistic. They are class batters. They don't do anything outlandish. If you bowl bad balls, they just put it away. We probably dished out too many bad balls. It is a really good wicket. Going for 140 in the last 14 overs was good on the bowling part. Sharma batted nicely. Nitish at the end. Left a little too much and too late for the batters. We can cling on to some hope. Big auction last year. The core of the group will be there for three years. So, lots to play for. It is an amazing venue to play. They are so nice and loud.
