With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 starting on 22 March, the player replacement rule formed by BCCI has been under the spotlight, with several key players being replaced by their teams due to injury or unavailability. (More Cricket News)
Players like Umran Malik of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Allah Ghazanfar of Mumbai Indians (MI) have pulled out of the 18th season of IPL due to injuries, and their teams have called up Chetan Sakariya and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, respectively under the player replacement rule.
As per the BCCI guidelines, IPL teams can sign replacement players for unavailable members of the roster by picking players from the Registered Available Player Pool (RAPP). The player can be signed for the entirety of the season 바카라 and his contract can be extended 바카라 for a fee which must not be greater than the player he is replacing.
The mid-season replacement of a player who has already played a match in that IPL season can only be done in the following situations:
The player in question was injured on or before the 12th match of the IPL season 바카라 extended from the Match 7 limit in IPL 2024 바카라 and his season-ending injury must be confirmed by a doctor nominated by the BCCI.
The team must also show that the player in question would have been otherwise available without the injury. 바카라...As a result of the injury or illness the player would miss the remaining league matches in that season,바카라 the BCCI guidelines read.
In such instances, the teams can sign a replacement player from the RAPP list 바카라 including those who are currently acting as net bowlers for other teams 바카라 at their base prices not exceeding the salary cap of the injured player.
The replaced player바카라s salary will not count towards the team바카라s salary cap for the present IPL season, but if the team chooses to extend his contract, he will be counted among the other players from the next season onwards.
