Chasing 140 for victory, Munro scored 42-ball 59 to steady ISU ship and was well-supported by Salman Ali Agha (41 not out) as they chased down the target in 17.4 overs.
Earlier, Jason Holder's 4/26 helped ISU restrict the Qalandars to 139 all out after skipper Shadab Khan won the toss and opted to field first. Holder, who was making his PSL debut, played a starring role with the ball as LHQ batters failed to impress apart from Abdullah Shafique, who scored an important 66.
Speaking of the tournament, this is the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Islamabad United looking to defend their title against the likes of Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, and Multan Sultans.
