LSG, after being put to bat first, scratched their way to a target of 166/7 aided by a captain바카라™s knock from Rishabh Pant. After a tough start to his IPL 2025 campaign, Pant stabilised LSG바카라™s innings, scoring 63 runs off 49 balls as wickets continued to fall in regular intervals on the other end.
Ayush Badoni had a bright knock, scoring 22 off 17 before being dismissed by a trademark MS Dhoni stumping, while Abdul Samad added 20 runs off 10 balls before a run out by the CSK skipper.
CSK바카라™s bowlers, particularly Ravindra Jadeja (2/24) and Anshul Kamboj (1/20), kept the scoring in check during the middle overs.
In response, CSK바카라™s chase got a good start with the opening partnership between Rachin Ravindra and IPL debutant Shaik Rasheed adding 52 runs in 29 balls. However, four wickets in quick succession pulled LSG back into contention, before Shivam Dube and MS Dhoni took control of the game.
Dube, who has been going through a rough patch of form, took his time to settle in before accelerating to a 43-run knock off 37 balls. Meanwhile, Dhoni came out striking from the first delivery, ending his innings at 26 off 11 with a strike rate of nearly 240.
The turning point of the match was in the penultimate over, where Rishabh Pant opted for Shardul Thakur instead of backing Ravi Bishnoi, who had already taken two wickets for 18 runs in three overs. Thakur, who had 11 wickets in IPL 2025 so far, was hit for 19 runs by Dube and Dhoni, and the match was effectively over.
With just five runs needed in the final over, Dube hit a boundary off Avesh Khan to seal Chennai Super Kings바카라™ second win of the season, although they remain at the bottom of the IPL 2025 standings at the moment.
