It could be another two-paced surface on offer and that means once again the strike rates will be under control and bowlers too will be in the game.
Pretoria Capitals being led by Kyle Verreynne today. Rilee Russouw is absent due to the birth of his child.
Here we go then. Du Plessis and Conway open for JSK. Jacks gets the first over for PC.
JSK 16/0 (3)
A slow start for du Plessis and Conway. Just 16 runs accumulated and half the powerplay gone. Good bowling so far from the Capitals bowlers. Conway has been hit on the forearm and he has walked off field.
JSK 36/1 (6)
Bairstow is looking good tonight. He has already raced to 15 off just 9 balls on what looks like a tough surface to score freely. Du Plessis is gone and his opening partner Conway is back in the dug out retired hurt. Things not looking good for JSK.
JSK 50/4 (10)
PC bowlers have made it really really tough for the JSK batters to score. JSK keep losing wickets and are not adding any runs as well. The big guns like du Plessis, Conway and Moeen are back in the pavillion. Bairstow is still in the middle but the pressure is piling up on him as well.
JSK 75/5 (14)
The run rate is below 5.5. Things are just not moving for the Super Kings. Even Bairstow is looking stuck. Ferreira has hit a six but he too is playing too many dot balls. Capitals have bowled really well on a surface that has assisted their spinners. Can they finish well or Bairstow will explode?
JSK 84/7 (17)
JSK are struggling to get into three figures. Wickets just keep falling. Ferreira and Bairstow both are back in the pavillion and they do not have enough batting to get them a strong finish. Gideon Peters, the quick bowler, finishes spell of four overs with two wickets and 15 runs.
JSK 99/9 (20)
The Capitals will be really happy with their bowling performance tonight. They have been on the money all through the innings and the low score for the Super Kings is a result of that. None of their batters could get going while three Capitals bowlers picked up more than a wicket each. Gideon Peters, Senuran Muthusamy finish with a couple of scalps to their names while Migael Pretorius takes three.
PC 34/1 (4) need 66 runs in 96 balls
Good start for the Capitals. They have lost Jacks but he did score a 9-ball 15 to give his team a good start in front of a small chase. Verreynne and Smeed are in the middle and the target seems to easy now.
PC 51/3 (6) need 49 runs in 84 balls
The Capitals have lost their top three in the powerplay but they have already scored more than half the runs they need to win this contest. It should be a big win for the Capitals tonight.
PC 89/3 (10) need 11 runs in 60 balls
It has been a cakewalk for the Capitals and the credit for that goes to Marques Ackerman. He is playing a fine knock with 39 runs in 21 balls. He would like to take his team over the line. A brilliant knock on a difficult surface from Ackerman.
Pretoria Capitals win by six wickets!
They have made it really easy for themselves. 48 balls still in the bank and the Capitals will go home with the win. A dominating performance. First with the ball and then with the bat.
Pretoria Capitals have returned to winning ways and they have done it in some style. Their bowlers were on the mark as they stopped Joburg Super Kings to a mere 99/9 in 20 overs. Gideon Peters, Senuran Muthusamy finished with a couple of scalps to their names while Migael Pretorius took three wickets. The chase was then finished in just 12 overs with MJ Ackerman scoring a quick 39 to wrap up things in no time.
Migael Pretorius is the Player of the Match. He picked up three wickets for 22 runs in his four overs.
A one-sided game today but the SA20 thrill carries on. See you tomorrow with another game. Bye, Bye!
