Opting to bat first, the Knights faltered early on a pitch with generous seam movement. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav departed cheaply for just 1, undone by Kartik Mishra바카라™s sharp delivery. Opener Siddhant Adhatrao held the innings together with a composed half-century, supported by a 46-run stand with Suryansh Shedge. Shedge (49 not out off 21 balls) then switched gears late in the innings, combining with Makarand Patil (13 not out) to push the Knights to a respectable 145/5.
The Falcons바카라™ chase got off to a jittery start as Hitesh Kadam struck twice in successive deliveries, removing openers Ishan Mulchandani and Shreyanssh Rai. But Shreyas Iyer (13) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi steadied the innings with a crucial 54-run partnership.
After Iyer fell LBW to Parikshit Valsangkar, Vinayak Bhoir (33) and Akash Parkar (30) took charge. Their 56-run stand laid the foundation for a successful chase, with Kush Kariya ensuring the Falcons crossed the finish line with four balls to spare.
Earlier in the day at DY Patil Stadium, Bandra Blasters edged out Aakash Tigers by a solitary run in a pulsating encounter. Batting first, the Blasters posted 153 thanks to gritty knocks from Om Keshkamat (40) and Dhrumil Matkar (33). Shams Mulani starred with the ball for the Tigers, returning figures of 3/12.
The Tigers, in response, slumped to 20/4 before Jay Bista led a spirited comeback with a well-crafted 55 off 48 balls. However, Dhanit Raut바카라™s incisive spell of 4/29 proved decisive, as the Tigers fell agonizingly short at 152/8.
Later fixtures saw Eagle Thane Strikers take on MSC Maratha Royals at DY Patil Stadium, followed by ARCS Andheri locking horns with North Mumbai Panthers under lights at Wankhede Stadium.
