World Test Championship Final: Australia Book Lord's Ticket As India, Sri Lanka Fall Short

The victory in Sydney helped Australia to 63.73%, and also marked India바카라™s end in the cycle with 50.00 % of possible points

Australia have booked their ticket to the iconic Lord바카라™s and will have a chance to defend their World Test Championship crown in the Final in June. (More Cricket News)

The Pat Cummins-led side defeated India by six wickets in the fifth and final Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground to take the series 3-1 on Sunday, January 5. 

Australia will now battle it out against Temba Bavuma바카라™s South Africa from June 11, with the Proteas confirming their spot after their two-wicket  Boxing Day Test triumph against Pakistan in Centurion. 

With Australia taking the series 3-1 against India, Sri Lanka, who will host Cummins바카라™ men for a two-match Test series have also been knocked out.

Chasing 162 for victory in the fourth innings, Usman Khawaja, who endured a very quiet series till date, was the architect of a tricky chase before Travis Head and Beau Webster put on a fine stand to complete the final rites.

Travis Head ended the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as the leading run-scorer with 448 runs at an average of 56, while India바카라™s Yashasvi Jaiswal finished second with 391.

Jasprit Bumrah, who was unable to bowl in India바카라™s final push to retain the trophy, ended with 32 wickets and was also adjudged Player of the Series.
