The 32-team FIFA Club World Cup 2025 edition ended with the 1st Matchweek as Juventus scored a thumping 5-0 victory over Al-Ain on Thursday, June 19 (IST).
The tournament will be played from June 14 to July 13 and sees clubs divided into eight groups of four, with top two advancing to the Round of 16.
The first game of the tournament saw Inter Miami draw 0-0 against Al Ahly despite Lionel Messi starring for the Herons. In Group B, PSG hammered La Liga side, Atletico Madrid 4-0 whereas Bundesliga side, Bayern Munich produced the result of the tournament, with a 10-0 trouncing of Auckland City FC in Group C.
Chelsea and Flamengo registered victories in Group D, whereas in Group E, River Plate won while Monterrey and Inter Milan shared the spoils.
Group F and G saw victories for reigning champions Man City, Juventus and Mamelodi Sundowns F.C, respectively.
