The Indian women바카라™s football team are set to face Uzbekistan once again in the second FIFA international women바카라™s friendly match on 3 June at Bengaluru바카라™s Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence. The Blue Tigresses suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat in the first friendly match on 30 May, and Crispin Chhetri바카라™s side will look to even the tie ahead of the AFC Women바카라™s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers scheduled for next month.
India, ranked 69th in the world, performed well defensively against a strong Uzbek side in the first match. Despite immense attacking pressure from the visitors, India held out for a goalless first half.
However, Uzbekistan바카라™s Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, capitalising on a precise cross from Maftuna Shoyimova to score the only goal of the match. After that, India had a number of chances to equalise, including a headed chance for substitute Pyari Xaxa, but the hosts could not get the leveller and went on to lose by a single goal.
India will look to alter the trend in the second match, with manager Chhetri likely to make some changes in the starting XI. Captain Parthoi Chanu was the best player for the hosts, making a crucial save in the eighth minute against Nilufar Kudratova.
Xaxa can take back her place in the lineup after a lively performance from the bench, while Dangmei Grace can be dropped after failing to capitalise on a couple of good positions in the box.
