Jarell Quansah is ready for a bigger role in his football career as the Liverpool defender is linked with a move away from the club.
The 22-year-old made 13 appearances in the Premier League last season, starting just four of those games.
The defender also played in each of Liverpool's matches in their EFL Cup run but played as a right-back in the final against Newcastle United rather than in central defence.Â
Quansah has been linked with a potential move to Bayer Leverkusen, who lost Jonathan Tah to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
Speaking ahead of England Under-21's Euros match against Slovakia, Quansah said he is focused only on what he can control in his future.
"I'm not getting too high or too low with anything,"Â said Quansah. "I think I can take massive learnings from the three seasons I바카라™ve had in professional football.
"From Bristol Rovers until now, to put perspective and look back, I'm in a good position to take the next step. It comes with working hard and staying focused on what I can control.
"As for the future, it'll put me in the best stead if I just keep my head down and keep working."
When compared to team-mates Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Joe Gomez in Premier League matches, Quansah is second for pass accuracy (91.5%) and tackle success (66.7%).
However, his duel success (44.68%) and aerial duel success (41.18) rank last of the four Liverpool centre-backs. Quansah has played far fewer minutes than both Van Dijk and Konate in the league, though.Â
