We are underway at the Estadio Universitario in this all-Mexican affair. It is Tigres UANL vs Cruz Arul in the first leg of CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal.
15' We are having a rough game early on in this semifinal. Two yellow cards already handed within 13 minutes of the opening whistle. Both teams still goalless but one player each from the two sides has been booked. Anyways, no significant attack from any of the two teams yet.
35' It is still goalless in this first leg semifinal. Quite a balanced game so far. Both sides have been solid with their defences. Tigres UANL did come quite close to opening the scoring but were denied and they will rue the missed opportunity. Cruz Arul have kept a bit more of the ball so far.

We are done with the first half of the game and no team has been able to take the lead so far. Tigres UANL did come close once but apart from that it has been good defending from both the sides. Late in the first half, Cruz Arul did look like making more attacks but they have not been able to test the Tigres defence as well as they would have liked.

68' Rotondi breaks the deadlock and Cruz Arul have taken the lead. Massive moment in the game. After the half-time, Cruz Arul were looking like they would score anytime and now they have finally done. Tigres have to find a way to comeback now.
84' GOAL! Tigres find the equaliser and the crowd loves it. Just six minutes to go on the clock and J Sancho finds the goal. Tigres UANL can breathe easy now.

It is over and we have a draw in the first leg.
It is a draw in the end. A good match-up and it lived up to its hype. The all-Mexican affair will now move into the second leg with both teams having a goal each. It was a slow start and the first half remained goalless. Then Cruz Arul started the second half on a high and took lead in the 68th minute. It lasted almost 15 minutes before Tigres roared back to get the equaliser.
