Hello and welcome to everyone joining us early this Monday (India time). We will present to you the build-up and live updates from the critical Group D game between USA and Haiti.
The match will kick off at 4:30am IST. The USA vs Haiti, Concacaf Gold Cup group D encounter will be live streamed on the Concacaf YouTube channel in India. It will not be live streamed on any TV channel in the country.
Meanwhile, over at the FIFA Club World Cup, a 10-man Real Madrid beat Pachuca 3-1 courtesy goals from Jude Bellingham, Arda Gulder and Federico Valverde. Up next, RB Salzburg take on Al Hilal in Group H at 3:30am IST.
Here is how USA line up ahead of kick-off in Arlington, Texas:
And this is how Haiti line up for the must-win game:
We are moments away from the start of the match. The national anthems of United States as well as Haiti is played, and kick-off follows.
Play gets underway at the AT&T Stadium. USA attacking from left to right and Haiti from right to left in the first half. And we have a yellow card in the very first minute as Tyler Adams commits a foul.
United States are up and running in the 10th minute. Malik Tillman heads in Brenden Aaronson's cross from close range and Mauricio Pochettino's men start just the way they would have liked to.
Haiti equalise! Louicius Deedson capitalizes on USA goalie Matthew Freese's lapse in judgment to slot it in from his left foot in the 19th minute. The Americans are stunned, and though Haiti need a win at the least, this is a heartening step in that direction for them.
In the simultaneous Group D clash of Concacaf Gold Cup, Saudi Arabia trail Trinidad and Tobago 0-1 in Arlington, Texas. As it stands, TNT are second in the live standings and would advance alongside USA from the group if the scores stay this way.
And so, we go into the mid-game interval with the scoreline reading 1-1. Haiti would be pleased with their effort so far, but they need a winner to stand any chance of advancing. It will not be easy against the USA, who would look to reset and revert to expected dominance in the second half.
Action resumes at the AT&T Stadium. USA now attacking from right to left and Haiti from left to right. The Americans earn a free-kick in quite a dangerous position early doors, but nothing comes off it.
Patrick Agyemang finally finds the second goal for the United States. After a bunch of near misses, the Americans have the lead in the 75th minute as Agyemang finds the target from a tricky angle, assisted by John Tolkin with a through ball.
There will be five overall minutes of added time. Two of those have elapsed, and USA appear primed for a hard-fought win unless Haiti have something special to offer, late in this game.
And so it ends 2-1 in USA's favour. Haiti are unable to find an equaliser, though even that would not have been enough for them to advance. Les Grenadiers finish last in Group D with one point and their Gold Cup campaign thus comes to an end. United States had already qualified for the quarters and Saudi Arabia join them there from the group, thanks to a 1-1 draw with Trinidad and Tobago.
