Monterrey 1-1 Inter Milan, FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Martinez Cancels Ramos Opener In Shock Draw
Mexican side CF Monterrey secured a shock draw against Serie A runners-up Inter Milan in a Group E fixture of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 at Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on 18 June. 39-year-old Sergio Ramos gave Monterrey the lead against the run of play, jumping over two defenders to head it past Yan Sommer. Lautaro Martinez equalised before half-time, tapping the ball into an empty net after a terrific cross from Carlos Augusto. Martinez had the chance to win it for Inter in the 64th minute but missed a sitter from inside the box. The Mexican side then held on for a crucial point, putting a damper on Inter manager Cristian Chivu바카라™s debut.
