Ambani, a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), also said that Olympics in India will be the most sustainable Games ever.

India is in the process to bid for the hosting rights of the 2036 Olympics with Prime Minister Narendra Modi making his intentions about organising the Summer Games in the country very clear on multiple occasions.

Modi had expressed India's willingness to host the 20236 Olympics at the IOC Session held in Mumbai in 2023. Since then, he has repeated it many times. Recently, at the opening ceremony of the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, Modi reiterated India's dedication towards obtaining the hosting rights. Union Home Minister Amit Shah too said recently that India was ready to host the Olympics.
