The New York Liberty have enjoyed plenty of big wins in the last year, but none were bigger than their latest. The defending champions matched their own WNBA record by draining 19 3-pointers in Sunday's emphatic 100-52 rout of the Connecticut Sun that set the largest margin of victory in franchise history.

Sabrina Ionescu led the way with 18 points and went 4 of 6 from 3-point range, while Jonquel Jones chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds in the first game of the three-week-long Commissioner's Cup in-season tournament.
Breanna Stewart and Leonie Fiebich also had 13 points for New York, which led by as much as 57.
The Liberty had a chance to set the 3-point record, as they had 18 makes through three quarters before going 1 for 5 from deep in the final period.
Connecticut (1-6), meanwhile, struggled mightily from beyond the arc, making just 6 of 28 3-point tries (21.4 per cent). Tina Charles and Jacy Sheldon led the Sun with 10 points apiece.
The Minnesota Lynx are also off to a 7-0 start after using a strong second half to earn an 86-75 victory over the Golden State Valkyries.
Napheesa Collier sparked the Lynx's latest win by compiling 24 points and 11 rebounds, and Minnesota also received 20 points from Courtney Williams and 16 from Kayla McBride.

Loyd, who spent her first 10 seasons with the Storm before being traded to the Aces in January, finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Jackie Young added 12 points for Las Vegas, while Chelsea Gray chipped in 10 points and six assists.

Seattle chipped away late and ultimately got to within 73-70 when Williams capped an 8-0 run with a layup with 37.8 seconds left. The Storm failed to score on their next possession, though, before Loyd was fouled and made both free throws to keep her ex-team at bay.
