Bengaluru-based Girish and The Chronicles (GATC), a hard rock band with members from Gangtok, Sikkim, impressed the judges of America's Got Talent Season 20, with their stellar performance. The band performed the rock version of Adele's Set Fire to the Rain, for which they received a standing ovation and also an unanimous 'yes' from the judges 바카라” Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Mel B.
Frontman Girish Pradhan told The Indian Express that the whole experience was "surreal and electrifying", something they will never forget. "Years of touring, dreaming, and staying true to our sound led up to that moment. We바카라™re just incredibly grateful to be part of something this big, and to share a piece of our journey with the world," he said.
On the show, Howie Mandel said, "You come from the other side of the globe and do something so traditionally American.. It was so beautiful."
Apart from vocalist Girish, the band has guitarist Suraz Sun, bassist Yogesh Pradhan (Girish바카라™s younger brother), and drummer Nagen Nags.
Girish and The Chronicles was formed in 2009, and they did several international acts like Poets of the Fall and Destruction. They travelled abroad for their shows in countries including Nepal and the United States.
Girish and The Chronicles' journey to America바카라™s Got Talent started from a soundcheck video from Mumbai바카라™s Independence Rock Festival, which was posted on Instagram. A producer at AGT saw it and they invited the band to the reality show, via a DM.
The band recently performed in Delhi at the newly launched The Piano Man, where the audiences screamed "AGT winners!"
Girish also performed the song from the show. "The outpouring of love and support we have received from across the globe has been overwhelming in the best way possible. It바카라™s a reaffirmation of everything we바카라™ve worked so hard for, and a reminder of how far we바카라™ve come," he said.
