Sitaare Zameen Par: Multiplex Association Of India Lauds Aamir Khan's Decision To Exclusively Release The Film In Theatres

Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, is all set to arrive in theatres on Friday, June 20. Aamir, who believes in theatres has decided not to release the film on OTT, which is a big step. He even reportedly turned down a lucrative OTT deal for the film.

Multiplex Association of India (MAI), in a statement, has lauded Aamir Khan for his visionary and resolute decision to release Sitaare Zameen Par, exclusively in theatres. Aamir's choice to back the theatrical format, sends a powerful message that cinemas will always remain the premier destination for community-driven, immersive storytelling.

Kamal Gianchandani, President, MAI, in a statement, shared, "Aamir Khan has always been a filmmaker who puts the audience first. His decision to bring Sitaare Zameen Par exclusively to cinemas is a significant show of confidence in theatres and the shared magic of the moviegoing experience. Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia D'souza. The film has been produced by Aamir Khan Productions, and introduces 10 debutants- Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
