Aamir Khan is all set to collaborate with Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for a superhero film. The production of the highly anticipated project will start in the latter half of 2026.

Aamir Khan confirmed a superhero film with Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Aamir confirmed the news about his upcoming film, during a recent media interaction on Thursday, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor is reportedly having a cameo in Rajinikanth starrer Coolie, which is also directed by Kanagaraj.
He said, "Lokesh and I are doing a film together. It's a superhero film 바카라” a big-scale action outing. The film will begin in the second half of 2026. We have both signed it. I cannot reveal anything further."
He also denied the rumours of PK 2, and said, "That's a rumour. This is the first time I am hearing about it."
Aamir also confirmed a biopic on the father of Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke, which is doing with director Rajkumar Hirani.
He also opened up about his dream project Mahabharat. "Mahabharat has been my dream for the last 25 years. A subject like that will require intense preparation. Unless I have walked that path and created an initial foundation, I cannot say if my dream will come true. But I am going to begin work on it," said the Laal Singh Chaddha star.
Aamir Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, which will hit theatres on June 20. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is a 'spiritual sequel' to Aamir's 2007 hit film Taare Zameen Par.
Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia D'Souza as the female lead- marking her first project with Aamir. Mr Perfectionist is playing the role of a basketball coach who is assigned to train Neurodivergent adults.
