At a recent event, Ajay Devgn and Kajol weighed in on the eight-hour shift for mothers. Supporting it, Ajay said most of the honest filmmakers are open to the idea. Even, Saif Ali Khan also supported prioritising family time. Now, Radhika Apte, who became a mother to a baby girl, in December last year, revealed that she is finding it difficult to balance work and new motherhood. Radhika Apte revealed she is finding it difficult to balance work and new motherhood.
In an interview with Indian Express, when Radhika Apte was asked if the industry is conducive to new mothers like her, she said, "I don바카라t think they are. I don바카라t know how I바카라m going to navigate that going ahead."
For the unversed, recently there were reports of Deepika Padukone leaving Vanga's Spirit as her requests for an 8-hour workday and a better remuneration couldn't be fulfilled. Post which, the Animal director announced Triptii Dimri, the new female lead of the Prabhas starrer.
The Sacred Games actress also said it's really difficult to work in the film industry, "because of the number of hours" and how they film generally, and not getting time to see the child. Apte added she will have to figure it out now.
It is to be noted that Radhika has been juggling between India and London for years.
On the work front, Radhika Apte's Sister Midnight recently released in India. It has received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. The film been already released in the UK and the US later in 2024.
Directed by Karan Kandhari, the film was nominated for Outstanding British Debut at the 2025 BAFTA awards. It was also screened at the Directors' Fortnight at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
