Suriya 45 Is Titled Karuppu: Makers Unveil First-Look Poster Of RJ Balaji's Film

Suriya's 45th with RJ Balaji is titled Karuppu. The makers unveiled the first-look poster of the film, on Friday, June 20, on the occasion of Balaji's birthday. Karuppu marks Suriya and Trisha Krishnan reunion after 20 years. Their last film together was 2005's Aaru.

Suriya 45 is now Karuppu

On Friday, taking to X handle, Dream Warrior Pictures shared the new poster of the film, which gives a glimpse of Suriya바카라�s character in the upcoming movie. He can be seen facing his back with a weapon in his hand amidst strange surroundings.

"With pride and Excitement, we present the title of #Suriya45: 'KARUPPU'. A name that embodies the soul of our story, shaped by heart, spirit, and purpose. #கருப்பு #KaruppuWishing a very Happy Birthday to our director @RJ_Balaji (sic)," read the caption.

Suriya also shared the poster and wished RJ Balaji on his birthday. He wrote, "Here바카라�s our #Karuppu for you..! Wishing you all happiness @RJ_Balaji (sic)."

About Karuppu

Apart from Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, the movie has an ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, Anagha Maaya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, and Natty Subramanium, among others. 

Sai Abhaynkkar will compose the music for the film. He has replaced AR Rahman. Apart from directing, RJ Balaji has also written the story. Karuppu marks Suriya바카라�s first collaboration with Balaji.

It is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures. GK Vishnu is handling the cinematography, while Vikram Mor is taking care of the action choreography of the film. R Kalavanan is the editor.

The release date of Karuppu is yet to be announced. Reports suggest that makers are eyeing for Diwali release this October.

Coming back to Suriya, he was last seen in Retro, which didn't do well at the box office. Apart from Karuppu, he will also be seen in Venky Atluri's tentatively titled Suriya 46.
