Crude oil prices touched nearly $78 per barrel as tensions escalated between Israel and Iran, with both countries targeting each other's key energy infrastructure.

Pakistan has shut all its border crossings with neighbouring Iran for an indefinite period.

News agency AFP quoted border officials confirming the developments. The officials however said there was `no ban on trade'' activities at the border. Even Pakistani National who want to cross over were being allowed to do so.

바카라�Border facilities in all five districts 바카라� Chaghi, Washuk, Panjgur, Kech and Gwadar 바카라� have been suspended,바카라� Qadir Bakhsh Pirkani, a senior official in Balochistan province, which borders Iran, told AFP.

Crossing into Iran 바카라�has been suspended until further notice바카라�, said Attaul Munim, an official at one of the crossings in Chaghi district.

The head of the UN바카라�s nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, says there has been no further damage to Iran바카라�s nuclear sites at Natanz and Fordow, following Israel바카라�s attack on Friday.

He urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint.

Grossi told the IAEA's board of governors radiation levels outside Natanz and Fordow remained normal. He said while the above-ground pilot site at Natanz had been destroyed, there was no indication of an attack on the underground parts of the facility.

But he said the power supply had been destroyed there, which may have damaged the uranium enriching centrifuge machines.

Israel said it had raided its prison cells after officials heard inmates making 바카라�expressions of joy바카라� during a round of Iranian airstrikes against Israel.

바카라�During the recent round of fighting, sounds of celebration were heard from criminal inmates who are residents of the Palestinian territories바카라� in a prison in central Israel, the country바카라�s prison service said Sunday.

It said the prison service바카라�s elite 바카라�Metzada바카라� unit had been called in to raid the cells and remove those involved.

In a video shared by the prison services, armed troops were seen storming a prison, pointing guns at inmates as they took cover on the floor of their cell. One of the men was seen lying face down as an officer bound his hands with a zip tie. Another man was blindfolded. Several men were then marched out of their cells, hunched over, with their arms tied behind their backs.

The prison service said the inmates were brought before a disciplinary tribunal and 바카라�subsequently disciplined,바카라� without saying how.

It said the operation was carried out as part of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir바카라�s 바카라�zero tolerance바카라� policy for expressing support for Israel바카라�s adversaries.

Iran says it has executed a man found guilty of spying for Israel's intelligence agency, known as Mossad.

Officials say Esmail Fekri, who was arrested in 2023, tried to transmit classified information in exchange for money. It's thought to be the third such recent execution.

Several other suspected Israeli spies have been arrested in Iran since Friday, according to Iranian state media.

The country's chief justice, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, says that given the current conflict, trials of suspected Israeli collaborators should happen quickly.

Meanwhile, two Israelis were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of spying for Iranian intelligence. The authorities also arrested a 13-year-old boy last week in Tel Aviv over similar allegations.

The Israeli Air Force destroyed more than 20 surface-to-surface missiles on Sunday evening before they were launched toward Israeli territory, IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin said Monday.

Defrin said the air force had used around 50 fighter jets and aircraft to strike around 100 military targets in Isfahan, central Iran.

Pezeshkian also reiterated that his country "does not seek to possess nuclear weapons" but that it has "the right to benefit from nuclear energy and research that benefits its people".

Amid the escalating tensions in West Asia, Iran바카라�s foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei reportedly said that after the cancellation of US-Iran nuclear talks scheduled for yesterday, the US needs to 바카라�condemn바카라� Israeli attacks on Iran for the negotiations to continue, BBC reported.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors is slated to assemble for an urgent session today at the IAEA바카라�s headquarters to discuss the repercussions of Israeli military attacks on Iran바카라�s nuclear facilities.

BBC reported that the session was requested by Iran and supported by Russia, China, and Venezuela. This emergency session comes amid ongoing military exchanges between Iran and Israel, including Israeli strikes targeting Iran바카라�s nuclear sites at Natanz and Fordow.

Latest updates say that the latest Iranian strikes killed eight people in Israel included two women, three men in their 70s and 80s, and three others whose bodies were found in the rubble in the northern city of Haifa.

In his address to parliament about the ongoing Israeli attacks, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged all citizens to put aside differences and unite against Israel as the conflict rages between the two arch-foes.

Amid the escalating tensions, Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that people in Iran바카라�s capital will 바카라�pay the price바카라� for Iranian strikes on Israeli civilians after overnight missile attacks killed at least five people and wounded dozens.

Referring to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Katz wrote on his Telegram channel, 바카라�The boastful dictator from Tehran has turned into a cowardly murderer, deliberately firing at Israel바카라�s civilian home front in an attempt to deter the [Israeli military] from continuing the offensive that is crippling his capabilities.

Issuing an official statement amid the ongoing conflict, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, "The Indian Embassy in Tehran is continuously monitoring the security situation and engaging Indian students in Iran to ensure their safety."

"In some cases, students are being relocated with Embassy바카라�s facilitation to safer places within Iran. Other feasible options are also under examination. Further updates will follow. Separately, the Embassy is in touch with community leaders regarding welfare and safety", they added.

Citing The Times of Israel and the YNet News outlet, Al Jazeera reported that the overall toll from Iran's latest strikes mounted to five on Monday.

The Magen David Adom emergency service said a total of 92 people have now been transferred to the hospital, most of them with minor injuries.

Three others remain missing in the northern city of Haifa.

In a dramatic though not unexpected  escalation with far-reaching consequences, Israel has launched a direct attack on Iranian sites including its nuclear facilities, a move long sought by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The strike,  targeted key installations, including Iranian scientists,  and military leaders, including Brig. Gen Mohammad Bagheri, the commander of the army as well as  Hossein Salami, the head of Iran바카라�s Revolutionary Guards commander.

The attacks risks plunging an already volatile region into deeper instability and prospect of a wider war. As Iran prepares for retaliation the cost of fulfilling Netanyahu바카라�s long-held ambition may prove steep바카라�for Israel, Iran, and the entire region. Iran has already launched a massive drone attack on Israel. The IDF is engaged at the moment in shooting these down. Where will this stop is the question.

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF), in a post on X, claimed to have struck the headquarters of the Quds Force in the Iranian capital, Tehran. There was no immediate comment from Iran.

The Quds Force is known as the IRGC바카라�s overseas arm, which maintains a strong nexus with its allied militias across the Middle East, from Lebanon to Iraq, Yemen and Syria.

At least three people have been killed in central Israel following the latest Iranian strike, according to the Jerusalem Post, Channel 12 and YNet News.

United States President Donald Trump on Sunday claimed that he could secure a deal between Iran and Israel just as he had done between India and Pakistan last month by 바카라�using trade."

Trump posted a statement on Truth Social platform stating that "many calls and meetings are now taking place바카라� on the issue.

Iran has rejected the peace talks mediated by Qatar and Oman asserting that it is not open to negotiating a ceasefire while it is under Israeli attack, an official told Reuters. "The Iranians informed Qatari and Omani mediators that they will only pursue serious negotiations once Iran has completed its response to the Israeli pre-emptive strikes," the official said. 

Amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, two US officials reportedly informed that US President Donald Trump vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as per Reuters.

One senior administration official was quoted as saying, "Have the Iranians killed an American yet? No. Until they do, we바카라�re not even talking about going after the political leadership."

However, declining the claim, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly said, "There are so many false reports of conversations that never happened, and I'm not going to get into that", while adding, "But I can tell you, I think that we do what we need to do, we'll do what we need to do. And I think the United States knows what is good for the United States."

In a provocative message that echoes his appeal from last year, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on the people of Iran to rise up against the theocratic regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying the time has come to "end the tyranny that has brought nothing but misery and isolation."

As Israel ramps up its strikes and Iran reels from internal and external blows, talk of regime change is once again in the air.
