Karnataka: Man Hacked To Death In Full Public View; All 7 Arrested

Reports suggest that the incident was premeditated and an outcome of a long-standing property dispute and family enmity.

A gruesome crime was captured on CCTV footage in Karnataka, where seven individuals were seen murdering a 35-year-old man inside a bakery in full public view on Saturday night. Police arrested all the perpetrators, as per media reports.

The incident reportedly took place in Karnataka's Koppal district. The victim has been identified as Channappa Husenappa Narinal, a daily-wage labourer who was a resident of Tavaragera town.

All About The Incident

As per media reports, the gruesome incident took place near LJ Iyengar Bakery in Karnataka, which was located less than a kilometre from the local police station.

The purported CCTV video, which was taken from inside the bakery, captured the moment Channappa was attacked with sharp weapons.

As per the video, Channappa was first attacked inside the bakery and then dragged outside, where the assault continued until he was dead.

According to the police, the attackers carried out the assault and fled within two minutes.

A police case has been filed against all the accused under charges of murder, criminal conspiracy, and aiding a crime with common intention.

Property Dispute, Family Enmity

Media reports suggest that the incident was premeditated and an outcome of a long-standing property dispute and family enmity.

India Today reported that the complainant, Durugappa Narinal, the elder brother of the deceased, informed police that his family and another were embroiled in a property dispute.

He also claimed that one of the prime accused, Ravi Narinal, had openly threatened to kill someone from their family in recent days.
